Characterization of Materials

The characterization of materials is an essential step in validating product design. LNE works with a variety of products to assess their resistance to mechanical, thermal and climatic stresses; their behavior over time; and their effect on the environment.

Energy and Environmental Solutions

As today’s construction industry explores new environmental options, LNE is on the forefront of these efforts in several areas:

• Certifying heat pumps of combined solar systems. Plus, LNE is developing a certification program to spur development of systems which use renewable energy for heating
• Unique Test Process to Evaluate Ethanol-based Home Appliances to give manufacturers and importers security, despite the current lack of standards and regulations.
• Product Certification, such as CE Marking for solid fuel heating Equipment and NF Mark Certification of bioethanol chimneys (in partnership with AFAQ AFNOR)
